Objectives

1.  My first goal is to have good and thought-out questions so the person gives me as much information as possoble.
2. Speak with someone willing to give good information, and is open about their thoughts.
3. Get good information by asking in depth questions about themselves and about the person and their country.
4. Take the information they gave me, and review their answers and see how their country, ways, and schools differ from America.
5. Better understand other countries. I will do this by looking at their view and comparing them to my views and way of life toward theirs.
6. Better understand what its like to study abroad and what its like for the student being in a new country, with a new language, and new culture. What its like for them to be away from their family. What its like for them being around all new people. what its like to be around not only new people but people who speak another language.

  1. Your objectives seem right for the task, but you may want to consider some of the ideas Mohammed posted, and integrate them specifically (Your Nr. 6 alludes to it ... but to a degree for your own benefit). I like your goal of "good and thought-out questions" but wonder, how you will assess that.

  2. Your objectives are well stated and i really like your first objective. It's a must to be prepared and have good questions before you interview someone.

  3. Your objectives are practical and thoughtful, I like it! They cover almost everything in general. It's good to know beforehand too what to ask.

  4. You very good questions that just shoot the target of this interview. If you can emphasize more about how to condut and prepare for the interview, that will be great!

  7. very clear objectives. the sixth objective it more interesting to you as i guess. Since most of people will not have chance to study abroad, getting to know some of them will help a lot.

  8. I think that number 2 is not necessary. If you are at the point of interviewing someone, it means they are willing to share with you. It is your job to make them feel comfortable and ready to answer your questions as well as possible.

  9. I could see your willingness of understanding others' culture. Very well done!

  13. Good objectives. I think the last one is the most important one, and they will speak to you as long as you can make them feel comfortable in talking. That is about their experiences and no one would share their their personal experiences with anyone except for those who are outgoing in interviewing. Good luck.

  16. Good objectives. They cover almost everything and include lot of detail on how you are going to go about completing them. But you may want to include details on the required material for the project, such as recording the interview and creating a transcription.

  19. Very good set up of your objectives, #6 got a little long maybe sum that up a bit by taking out the "what it is like" and adding commas
otherwise they are very good you will have a great interview with these :)

  20. These are good objectives. For #2, keep in mind that not everyone will be as open with their thoughts as you'd like them to be. Some people will not hand out personal information. Other than that, you seem to be well-prepared!

  21. Good objectives with prepared thoughts. I just think that you may want to add more details like where do you want to conduct your interview and what needs to be done after the interview.
